When I was a kid we would buy games we thought looked cool and invite friends over and trade/borrow games. I feel like this is the point of having your own collection.

I cant hate people who buy everything because that was all of our dreams as a kid. But at a certain point its useless. And when youre spending over $100 for plastic carts when theres other ways to experience the game it just accentuates how useless collecting really is.

I just outfitted all of my consoles with flashcarts/ode devices and bought into the ossc and gwscart memes so I am retarded on the other spectrum though. The only real difference being that there's an end goal for my madness.

i had to hunt down a rip of Atlantis for Sega Saturn. Look at this shitty game. But of course its rare and priceless otherwise.
