no suprise /vr/ is full of retards. Heres how to hack your og xbox
>buy a pre 1.6 model from a thrift store for 30 bucks (1.6 has bad video output and cant do 480p without some trickery). Just make sure to pull the clock capacitor off
>softmod with splinter cell and rockys soft mod tool
>make sure to rewrite your eeprom to null values
Now its time to hard mod
>solder 2 points on your mother board to flash the tsop
>download the latest ogxbox disc and burn it
>hook up a new hardrive with a sata adapter
>run the ogxbox disc and flash your tsop, install whatever dash you want (for me its xbmc for gamers)
> format your harddrive
Now you have a modded xbox and can easily ftp games to it
>download redump isos
>extract them with extract-xiso command line utilty
>ftp extracted files to your xbox
>xbmc for gamers downloads all cover art for you
its harder than hacking a wii or ps2 but its still piss easy
