Considering they made actual video game adaptations of it (though they don't really feel as enjoyable as playing with the real thing desu), I'd say Tamagotchis were a fine way to kill time.

Any other males on /vr/ who like nurturing games? I always thought it was odd for series like Tamagotchi or The Sims to be marketed primarily at a female audience.
