Japanese one better just because it has colored buttons.
In DQV there's a slime that says something like "if you press the blue button you can check stuff and talk with people instead of using the menu"
Since slimes are blue what he says is pure soul, something that can't be done on the gray and boring US controller.

Do you think if this game came out in the west DQ would have gotten a lot bigger here? I'm playing it now and I'm really loving it, this is already one of my favorite SNES/SFC RPGs.

So I was looking forward to getting into JRPGs the way I used to when I was in my teenage years. Did nothing everyday but play classic SNES JRPGS with an emulator I had for PS2 with a bajillion roms; even fell in love with Mother 2 without knowing shit about it before. You know, the wonder of the youth years, just picked anything from the list of roms and played it.

So I started pic related some days ago. And I grew bored each time I continued playing. I'm not saying the game is bad - actually the speed of the combat made it one of the best turn-based I've ever played. But I'm at the 8 hour mark and everytime I plan on playing it I do something else instead.
Is there any original JRPG that can inspire me again? Is the magic fading away for me?
