Same, the 2x1 move space also helps to make it more dynamic than, say, Puzzle Fighter's Z mode. Kollon/Koloomn seems to improve the 2x2 formula but I haven't stopped to play it seriously yet.

While gameplay is the most important factor, presentation matters too. Personally speaking, although Planet Puzzle League has the best soundtrack in the series, it had no theme and I felt little incentive to get better at it, unlike PdP where I fought to 1cc hard mode and get a different ending. This new vibrant world added to the charm and it's a shame burgers got those big brand reskins because girls have cooties.

Also, the pedo rosterfags want Ashley instead.
