Hell yeah. Doujin games were such a treasure in those days. I think I got most of those from WinMX/Winny in those days. I remember they hyped up the Sentimental Graffiti prior to release with no information other than there were 12 characters, the game ended out pretty bad and I was disappointed, but the doujin game called Sentimental Shooting pretty much saved the series. I was also into Ragnarok Online, so there were games like Ragnarok Battle Offline which just added to the magic of the time.

Once NEC and Sega left the market, what other non-PC platform would be best? There was no other choice than the one which fits best.

After Tokimemo, Mitsumete Knight, and Sakura Taisen, I remember that being hyped up as the next big date sim game. There were like 12 characters and the preorder bonuses had you choose one without knowing a damn thing about any of them. The game was quite boring, and a huge failure by comparison to the aforementioned titles.

Mostly like digital novels. For fans, as Saki was pretty popular being the sporty girl. The second one focused on the annoying girl that would exclaim something in English then the exact same thing again in Japanese. The 3rd one was with the childhood friend that has ridiculously high standards and the pity girl when the game realizes the player is so bad with everyone. I have not played Selection yet though.

Doujins can have strange titles to disassociate themselves from the source material.
