Which game actually fully utilizes the capabilities of this sack of shit?

How should we treat Sega 32X?
1) early 5th gen console like Jaguar or 3DO.
2) addon made to prolong Sega Genesis life like SuperFX chip for SNES.

The downfall of Sega started right here. This monumental fuck up was the first real domino that led to the company's comedy of errors throughout the mid to late 90s.

>Came out a day before the Saturn did in Japan
>Added more brain drain between a company split between arcade, Saturn, the growing Frakenstein that was the Genesis, the Game Gear, and whatever else I'm surely forgetting
>In the very least, the energy put into Knuckles Chaotix could have been put forward into a 1995 2D Sonic release on the Saturn

I have no idea what they thought would happen.

Would the Saturn and the future of Sega have been different if the 32X never came out?

Should I unplug my 32X from my genesis if I'm playing normal Genesis games?

I know it CAN still play genesis games, but said genesis games look oversaturated when I do.

Seriously? Did everyone just throw away all the fucking plus and wires and everything? Or did they just find boxes upon boxes of them and loose them on the market? They're fucking USELESS without the cables, right?

I've been looking into buying one of those 3 in 1 genesis/scd/32x cables but what's the other piece I need and how hard is it to find?

tl;dr why the fuck am I even trying to get a 32x? I mean There were like 4 games I'd play on it. Bro-op Knuckles Chaotix with the gf would be pretty sweet but at this point I'm just gonna fucking emulate.

Being a sega fan is suffering.

A lot of the games on the 32x. I proudly own one and while the games are super cool it's a very silly thing to conceptualize and get behind. Going through that trouble was not worth the release. Virtua Racing on the Genesis is an example of how powerful you can make a Genesis cartridge by installing add-ons but the SVP chip greatly increased the price. A lot of the games on the 32x offer little more than extra color, heightened 3D capabilities, and extra sound channels. If they were just well-polished Genesis games with longer development times or even made into Saturn launch titles maybe history wouldn't be so unkind. It never should have left Sega's dev house.

What convinced anyone to make games for it?
