I disagree on SSX for two reasons --

1) Uber tricks are a lot of fun but the game ends up being centered around them a bit much (similar thing tends to happen with special moves in THPS games). Not having them makes for a different enough experience.

2) A lot of the tracks in SSX Tricky are updated versions of the first one so it's nice to notice the difference. The environments in SSX Tricky also threw out the few pretenses toward realism that SSX had, so it's a nice contrast with the first game.

I thought SSX 3 was actually the weakest of the three but I love all three. Something about launching off a 3000 foot ramp and doing a 180*99 degree spin or whatever scratches a very particular itch. I suppose if you're not as in love with them as I am, Tricky is probably the best one to play of the three.

Polite stage for not retro.
