i use an RF modulator
works as a catch-all
but is not compatible with intellivision
seems to send a slightly off-spec signal
i have two consoles and both dont display unless i send raw RF to the tv
vcr\modulation seems to clean up the image signal pretty nicely - nuking noise & static
but i dont have any AV modded gen2 systems

it uses proprietary PSU, i undervolted it for 10yrs
it sometimes doesnt come on now

the upfront cost being with it you is situational
fairchild channel f = cart 26
bally astrocade = space fortress
atari 5200 = robotron + roller controller titles
atari 2600 = obv godtier and i wont elaborate
