I was wondering if you guys could remind me which Final Fantasy game I'm thinking of.

It takes place in a technologically advanced setting, but of course only the wealthy and powerful have access to the best of the technology. Magic has been lost to the world except in the form of stones made from a supernatural source, and this return of magical power is the driving force for an authoritarian organization to pursue world domination. However, there's a half-breed girl, half-human and half-magical who's really the key to their master plan. They tried to create their own half-breed, but in the process they created a mentally deranged monster who would be their own downfall. This super-soldier they created would later bring about a terrible catastrophe in order to pull all magical power to himself and become a god. In the end it falls upon a group of rebels and vengeance-seekers, led by a somewhat reluctant test subject of the evil organization, to defeat this great enemy.
