Actually I stopped when it started getting expensive and almost entirely emulate now. I'm just not a complete idiot, so I knew at the time that amazing games going for a fraction of what they were originally retailed for was never going to last long.

You guys are the ones who are mad that the market changed over the course of 20 years and were either too young or stupid to have jumped on a good thing when it was going.

It is. Though being honest, the screen kinda sucks, it's clunky and it's hunger for batteries makes it impractical to actually use as a portable. Back in it's time it was pretty amazing, but these days retro gaming on the go is always a PSP or 3DS. Still, I like to keep it around for the kitsch appeal and occasionally play a bit of something on it.

That's what I was doing, I was just having fun with it. Gotta admit, keeping the troll going this long because I happened to post a phone screenshot is pretty hilarious. I suspect he might actually be Mr Appeals getting butthurt again, but it doesn't really matter funny is funny.

I still have a PSP I use regularly. It gets plenty of battery life and had it for years.

Not him and I'm not really interested in being thought of as a "serious enthusiast" I just still like many old games. But I have no desire at all to keep the old hardware hooked up if I can get away without it. Currently I only have a CRT for my Saturn and I look forward to the day I can ditch them for good as well.

I think it's great that some people do have an appreciation for physical hardware and that they enjoy those set ups. But I don't think it makes me any less of a gamer because it's not the method I prefer.

Not him but craptacular copy protection really just means you need 4 PSPs. And personally I'd rather play on a nice clear little screen like that than a big glarey tube.

Yeah I picked it up from a pawn shop for $50 around 2000 or so. These days that a PSP can play all those games with a better screen and actual battery life I don't really use it much anymore. But it's one of the few physical gaming things I still keep around because it's pretty cool.
