If in the same way Arumana no Kiseki is knock-off Indiana Jones and Contra is knock-off Alien/Commando with a little dose of Predator, then yes. There's a fuckton of good games heavily inspired by then-popular IPs, while most of the officially licensed tie-ins are downright crappy. The official Dirty Pair game is terrible.
