I've got loads of arcade stories, like the time i ended up fisting a gril, but the other best times were going to Sega World in London (pic related). Literally the pinnacle of arcades on the planet at the time. No 3rd world mutt shithole for me. This is also largely before London was completely invaded by diversity, so it was still (mostly) a decent and safe place where people actually spoke English. Sega World was a massive building that had multiple floors with literally every arcade machine you could want, and not just Sega games, they had everything from their competitors too. Then there was shops, restaurants, rides and a IMAX cinema. They didn't cheap out on arcade machines either, they would have the best decked out versions with massive screens lined up, full size car/bike models and all kinds of other shit. It wasn't basic cabinets. Some other anon mentioned the arcade scene in T2, well this was actually like that, but 10x better, way cooler and on a far grander scale.

One time i went there with mates who were all massive snoytranny PSX fanboys that would go on about how shit Sega were when they hadn't even played Sega games in years... And fucking 'ell, the amount of cope inside Sega World was off the fucking scale. They tried so hard to hide the fact that were having the time of their lives playing Sega arcade games. Then on the way home i'd mention to them how i'll just further play many of these games on my chad Saturn later. Honestly, just going there with a nintendyke or snoytranny and watching them seethe and cope like nothing you'd seen before was almost half the fun. It was like they were about to cry but were simultaneously very exited and happy.
