Yea... No. I don't want literal minded bullshit like that shitty fan translation. It completely destroys the feeling and flow of the narrative. The only translation Woolsey did that was bad was Secret of Mana, mainly for technical limitations. He did a marvelous job getting what he did get past the Nintendo censors in FF6, and as you said massively improved the villain.
