These older consoles from the middle era of gaming are almost always from Japan. To me, if I'm going through the trouble of collecting physical hardware and software I'm going to do it properly. The adapted hardware, software, artwork are always uglier, derivitive or less effective and stylistic from their original Japanese counterparts; not to mention many are changed or censored into a watered down version. In my opinion there is no point in collecting for an NES, SNES, or out of Japan variant of any Japanese console.
