PS:T is an amazing game, but only for it's story and atmosphere. It's actual gameplay is lacking.

I'd start with Baldur's Gate, although I personally like PS:T way better.

if you want to play the game right, then dont bother with the STR, DEX and CON stats. the game is fairly story based and maxing those stats is the "best" way to play it. but on my first play through i went for a warrior like character and laughed my way across sigil as inferior thugs tried to kill me. i would say play what you want to play the first time around, then go uberman stats.
