Except everything you just said is objectively wrong, and explicitly why the game continued to sell millions of copies every single release. If they got rid of the combat, the game would've been dead on arrival and the "franchise" would have ended with 1, and not been very fun either.

If you want to solve puzzles by platforming, Crash and Spyro did it a million times better.
