I'm trying to like this game but holy shit the jank is killing me. Also I tried teleporting back to my mausoleum thinking I could use batform to get back to a check point and I'm trying to use the sigil next to the save point and it won't let me use it. Nah fuck this game, it's cool artistically but it suck as a game.

I've seen some guys online who cut video games out of their life completely in an effort to self improve. Some even go so far as selling/giving away their entire collections or online accounts. They claim vidya is nothing but a waste of time. Since the clientele here is a bit older than most boards, what do you think? Was the time spent playing a waste or not?

I personally don't think they are a waste of time. Some games are great experiences that offer interesting storylines or simply fun gameplay and cool art styles. You just can't let them take over your life but that applies to everything else in this world, so...

Is this better or worse than the classic zelda games? Ive never played a single zelda but blood omen was surprisingly good, and Im wondering if I should play Zelda or if they have nothing to offer over this

The main draw in blood omen for me was the sickdark edgekino 90's audiovisual side while the actual gameplay was merely tolerable

I have burned PSX copies of this onto good quality Verbatim DataLife Plus Azo CD-R's many times now. I have used the Vimm's Lair rom, the one on CDRomance, and the redump from the rom megathread.
I have used different write speeds.
Every single one of these boots into a black screen on my Playstation that has a Tonyhax memory card.
Wtf is it with this game not working on burned discs, anyone else ever try it? Every other game works perfectly when burned. I have never played this game and would really like to, it looks so cool. No I will not emulate it, it has to be experienced on my CRT tv.

Is the PS1 version worth playing? I’ve played some of Diablo 2 remake and enjoyed it a bit but never beat it
Does it have awful load shit like pic related?

Is the first game in Blood Omen series worth playing? Or should I skip right to Soul Reaver? I’m not very good at RPG’s and it seems complicated

so i'm playing through this for the first time and i don't understand the "lives" system works

normally when you die you're brought back to life with a little bit of blood, but sometimes you just die permanently. i can't tell if i've fucked myself over with sloppy playing and now i'm out of lives, because i've been getting game overs pretty frequently, or if permanent death is determined by some other factor. am i retard?
