Hey, what is this a picture of? Those three guys. Is that from a game. I'm asking because I had a dmt vision of something similar.

I've been trying to decide ever since I played both of these on my SNES when I was young (all I had was the All Stars version at the time).

I'd have to say that certain parts of each game do something better. (incoming tl;dr)

Super Mario world has stronger basic gameplay and a very fluid overworld (traveling to older worlds is no problem at all), with tons of secrets along the way. It's graphically superior and has much more memorable boss fights. The skill curve is also less steep, making it more accessible to newcomers not looking for a challenge, but also has very hard bonus levels and endgame levels for gamers that want a challenge.

Super Mario Bros 3 has a very memorable soundtrack with more detailed levels that you will always remember, whether you liked them or not. It also contained some of the most fun to use powers in the entire franchise. The skill curve in this game is much more steep, and is a genuine challenge for gamers of any skill. especially because of the last few worlds.

Overall, both of them are extremely enjoyable games for both very similar and very different reasons. It's absolutely impossible for me to chose a favorite between the two.

Another anon here, the guy is right though, some SMW hacks only working on zsnes due to the way zsnes handles the way IPS patching.

Certain translation patches/SMW modifcations won't show up properly due to the way snes9x translates the patching done to the rom.

Hell, I'm on my new gaming rig now and I still don't know what snes emulator to uses this day and age, I'd love to do some netplay or something but it seems like no one works on snes emulators anymore and the only ones I know are outdated as fuck. I feel like I've outgrown most snes/nintendo franchises but I'd love to play LTTP again and super metroid/super metroid redesign.

So, could you maybe recommend a good snes emulator for me if you could? Just wondering and I only wanted to share my two cents on the SMW zsnes problem since I used to do plenty of SMW mods back in the day with lunar magic and I remember doing sonic asm mods too, I made some good ass hacks and plenty artwork to put it.

Maybe I should do some now since my art skill has gone up pretty damn good and I could make some original art work among other shit. If you don't feel like recommending an emulator its fine, I'm assuming you guys don't like using those sort of things anyway.

Thanks in advanced.
