My governor just issued a stay at home mandate today that will start on Monday at 12:01. I had to go get some stuff from Walmart and its fucking crazy in there, people all masked up and filling carts full of shit. I felt like I was walking into a vipers nest, my eyes darting left to right watching all these walking infections pass by..

Was fun working on it though. I only have a couple of ideas for detail for skullking and that's about it.

Everything I touch turns to shit anyway, so it's probably for the best.

Any Doomers here? I recently played the Recurring Nightmare wad and loved how the original maps got better architecture and the rooms looked like they actually had purposes, like computer stations and empty cafeterias and toilets and communication relays.

Are there any other good megawads that have detailed maps like these? I know Extermination Day/Starter Pack will be out in 2 days, but levels with such good attention to detail are really fun.

Thing with the SSG is that it's so damn good. I'd almost say OP but not quite.

Though playing maps made for Doom 1 you really do get bothered having only a shotgun to fight some monsters. The SSG allowing you to blow away a pinkie in 1 blast or shoot up a Baron with a decent pace really makes a huge difference.

I'm wondering about a shotgun/chaingun/rocket launcher combo myself.

Been a bit since I played it but what story was BTSX telling? I mean outside the story screens themselves.

I meant more for a cathartic sense rather than serious challenge.

Like going back to hard levels and being like "Yeah, how do you like it now?".

Though Samsara for instance has some pretty cool BFG slot weapons. Duke's devestators are great.
