Yeah it's probably worth watching just for the cheese factor at this point but when it came out, wow what a horrid disappointment. The first MK movie was awesome. It was still way cheesy but rolled with it. I even took my mom because she was semi into MK at the time and we had a blast. Annihilation though was so god damned awful I found it hard to even appreciate on that level and never saw it again after that first viewing. I almost want to now thougg.

We'd just seen the first Mortal Kombat movie and my friends were using the washroom. There was an MK2 machine in the lobby so I put a quarter in and started playing.

Some guy saunters up, puts his own quarter in to play me which kind of annoyed because I wasn't looking to play serious, just goofing off waiting for my buds. He picks Liu Kang, I take Mileena and round 1 I just spammed teleport kicks and rolls and got him to a sliver of health before he hit me with a fireball.

Trying to sound as offended as possible I said "you ruined my flawless!" Second round I played more fair and he got a couple hits in but it was still over pretty fast. He snorted and turned away but his kid brother tugged on his arm and said, "No wait! Look!" And they both stood there and watched as I did Mileena's bone spitting fatality. Him giving me dirty looks and the kid looking in wide eyed glee.

Came here to post this. A game made in the fashion of 80's action films in turn made for an awesome action film itself. Too bad the second one was so terrible, but still.

Not him I'd count it as good but not great. I still think the first Injustice is the best game they've madr so far which I also wouldn't call great but it's very good.

There still hasn't been a video game movie as good as Mortal Kombat... How did that happen?
