I worked at a blockbuster for 4 weeks back in the early 00s.

Anyways, story:
>11 year old kid comes in with mom
>kid's family clearly doesn't have much $$
>wants to rent some shitty game
>mom is griefing him about they don't have any money
>We're used to kids acting up and being generally bad behaved in store
>this kid is really well behaved and just looking at the games, I'm restocking so talk to him because feel bad for him.
>fatass mom rents 3 shitty 1 day rental movies after not letting him rent a game because too poor
>figure she will be back the next day so bring in 4-5 old games I no longer wanted.
>sure enough they return, she rents a few more and he doesn't get his game again.
