I think it was when video games really started to ramp up in popularity and ridiculous as it might sound now, realism circa the PS2, and GTA III in particular. The typical boomer retards of the world started piping up about how video games would turn children into killers, and the natural response was that they had inherent value through peoples experience with them beyond violence and they were an artform like any other. It was also around the time that the age of the average gamer was shifting from children to teenagers and young adults, and the insecurity that comes with that as a hobby. Games have always been art but I don't think people were arguing about it until the early 2000s.

I doubt very much it was this exact picture but it looked super similar, including the ridiculous latex top and rubber tits. When I was a kid, maybe 6 or 7 year old my next door neighbor worked for Future Publishing, the publishers of Official Playstation Magazine. He'd didn't work for OPM but in the safe office so he'd always bring me home tons of loot- early demos of games, cool merchandise, memory cards and controllers, etc. One of the things I was given was a "signed photo" of Lara Croft, and looking back it was super obviously a stripper or something. Whatever you'd call the woman in the OP picture. I brought it to school with me and showed off that I had an actual real autograph from the real Lara Croft because I was a fucking idiot. Everyone thought I was cool for about an hour before the teachers took it off me and I never saw it again. I haven't thought about that shit in about 20 years. Thanks for reading my angelfire blog.

Bought a sealed copy off ebay last year when they had like 400+ versions available for some reason for £15

Now they're already jumping up to £60 minimum, what a wild ride. Do people just find warehouses full of unused sealed stock sometimes? PAL Shin Megami Tensei games on PS2 were like £7 brand new and sealed recently aswell
