>From Randorn's chamber, the adventure truly begins by having him warp your character to the WarpStone in ThornTail Hollow. There are additional WarpStones in DarkIce Mines, CloudRunner Fortress, the Walled City and Dragon Rock, and they can fast-travel to previously-visited WarpStones when activated. Naturally they have the more memorable SFA personality and voice instead of the boring DP one.
>New feature: contacting ROB on the communicator will ask if you want the Great Fox to beam the Arwing closer to your current location. While only Fox can pilot the Arwing, it is also where characters can be swapped.
>Most of the game follows SFA progression at this point forward. Fox eventually bonds with Tricky while Krystal is helped by Kyte (as in SFA, they cannot go to Warlock Palace or the Game Well Maze). Gameplay keeps the parts of DP that worked better however, like tighter combat. They have access to the same item pool such as the P.D.A. but different weapons and partners. Tone is between DP & SFA. Also, of course the friendless SharpClaw is kept in.
>Throughout the game, there are more hints that there is some greater force than Scales. Fox can't shake the feeling that the technology Scales possesses is eerily familiar. Krystal still tries to find traces of the being that attacked her in Warlock Palace, which she senses is not working for Scales. Both suspect that Randorn knows even more than he lets on. Peppy is privvy but he swore to secrecy because Randorn promised to tell all when the time is right, reassuring that Randorn has their best intentions in mind. Peppy mentions Randorn being especially distraught when he told him about Pigma, and that what he is hiding is heavy grief.
>General Scales is fought where Drakor was in SFA, and teleports away with his Kamerian Belt when defeated just before falling into the lava. Krystal catches a glimpse of Drakor watching overhead.
