As a giant 90s Marvel fan growing up, I never liked Bengus' style being applied to Marvel.

It works with anime inspired things like Darkstalkers and Street Fighter (the best they ever looked by far), but it has this sort of soft and pretty quality to it that just never meshed well with me for Marvel, there is something decidedly Japanese about it that doesn't do justice to the comics I was reading
