The only Langrisser games that aren't mindlessly easy are the 2 Megadrive games. They aren't exactly hard, but you'll be taken off guard and lose heroes. And if you want the "good end" for each, they cannot die even once. I wasn't able to beat the Muscle Temple without losing at least one.

I don't really like this series in general, I just really like Langrisser 2 on the Mega Drive.

Langrisser 2. Very unique strategy rpg, great graphics, great music. Play on Sega Genesis.

And if you want a challenge, note that you only get a good ending for a character if they never die during a mission.

Since I've been replaying Langrisser 2 on my phone god jesus is the audio terrible from the shit emulator I decided to watch Urushihara Satoshi's anime the other day. Something like 40% of the 50 minute run time was tits. Good stuff.

I should note that I can't actually stomach the alternate paths in Der so I like 2 much better. Having to kill mai waifu Cherie is way too much. This isn't a spoiler, evil path means exactly that, you kill everyone.
