Hello, I Would like to share this historically important piece of shit for the Doom Archive, its the old SLIGE level generator (Which I kinda prefer over OBLIGE, don't judge me.)

Link to download Slige (huge tanks for the Wayback Machine)

https://web.archive.org/web/20060615115717/http://members.aol.com/dmchess/slige.zip

Link for Doom Control, an old frontend for SIGE and Doom.

And this web page that generates a different SLIGE Megawad with 32 random levels every day:

https://soulsphere.org/hacks/slige/

Also heres a Doom wallpaper cuz I didn't have a proper pic for this

>trying to play through CC1 with MSX
>first levels pretty good
>second level is HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME
>next two levels are sorta meh
>map06 slaps the shit out of you in comparison with its challenge and design
>slog through map08 and map09 thinking, "wow, I hope there's not any more levels with back-to-back map authors because that was boring as fuck."
>get to No Tomorrow (map12)
>holy fuck that was hard and monotounus
>next map by the same author

And that's when I stopped playing CC1. I've played through it with all sorts of mods, and straight vanilla, but those fucking maps always bore me to death. CC2 was a fucking great step up from CC1 imo, and you don't miss a god damn thing; besides Thomas van der Velden's awesome map02.
