MK is more fun for casuals. It's like an early party game for boys. You play as a ninja, god, Bruce lee, jcvd, etc and beat the fuck outta your friends. It's fun. Yeah, it's not very deep. Big deal. As long as your having a good time with your buds shit talking and ripping some spines out who cares.

Adding guns to mk felt wrong to me. Matter of fact most of mk3 didn't sit right (still played it a shit ton)

It's all subjective but I just really enjoyed MK1s backgrounds. The stages made It really feel like an old fighting tournament. It wasn't all over the place(airports, alleys, factories,etc) like alot of the other fighters out there.
