>Barret Wallace is a playable character in Final Fantasy VII. He is the leader of an eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE, trying to prevent Shinra Electric Power Company from using Mako, the planet of Gaia's life source, as a form of energy.

Top fucking kek, at least a nigger would be an eco-terrorist, and the leader of a terror cell to boot. The only thing a nigger is leading is the line to cash his EBT check or the line at KFC.

So 1997 was the year Japan got infected with the Western Cultural Marxist political correctness bug?

So, I know it is pointless to ponder the semantics of fantasy games, but when playing ff7 something always bothered me.

How is Barret, and Vincent for that matter, capable of doing more damage as he levels up.

When it comes to the other characters the idea is that as they gain experience and strength from fighting they can put more force into their weapons to cause more damage. So how does extra strength translate into higher attack power when you are simply firing bullets like Barret and Vincent?

For realism sake, I think their attack power should have been static and changed from weapon to weapon, like..

Gatling: 50 dmg
Assault: 80 dmg
Gun 3: 150
Gun 4: 250
Gun 5: 400
...
Gun 12: 5800
Ultimate Weapon: potential max dmg

To be fair compared to other characters, their guns should have a slightly stronger base attack then the weapons of other characters found/bought at the same time, only falling behind if you languish in the same area leveling up too long.

I know it is just a game, but logic of guns getting stronger based on a characters strength going up just seemed off.

Then again this is the series that gave you a guy who could suplex a train.

The funny thing is, Final Fantasy VI had a lukewarm reception when it was released. At least in America, it did. It didn't sell too well, and its popularity only exploded after VII came out, when it was rediscovered by poor kids who didn't own a Playstation and were only able to experience the series through emulation.

>in before someone posts that image showing the similarities between 6 and 7

It doesn't matter which game did it first, it only matters which game did it best. And anyone who owned both games will tell you 7 was better. Final Fantasy 6 was just Final Fantasy 7 for poor people.
