I'll start, here's my pitch: Maybe its a bit uncreative but you play as adult link who ends up travelling with tael. you return to the hyrule from oot, but like zelda 2 on nes, it takes the original overworld & expands on it. There are also minor changes to oot's overworld such as the field stretching around castletown to be similar to termina. New areas and ideas are similar to ura zelda, and it also expands on masks & time travel. temple of time now has a clocktower like termina's and its a dungeon you return to several times in the game. Travel through gates of time to the distant future/hellscape more like alttp's dark world than oot's future, and with robots such as guardians. Maybe use an old bearded link in the future and probably the master cycle. It has a saturn like old age & time theme. You have to fight dark sages. Defeating each sage gets you their transformation mask. some sages are brainwashed, others are just plain evil.

>goron or lizalfos sage of fire
>zora sage of water
>rito sage of wind
>yeto or wolfos sage of ice
>stalfos or goron sage of earth
>minish sage of mushroom
>lizalfos sage of lightning
>poe or moblin sage of darkness (possibly ganon)
>Hylians, Humans, Shieka, Gerudo and maybe Twili are present and involved but would be uninteresting transformations so they dont get sages. there will also be a small amount of optional transformations to get. and other masks & items.
Admittedly the future in this game is a lot like botw but it will have dark temples and be designed by the oot template. the world is also more aesthetically a futurist hellscape with flowing lava and flying cars. Realistically the game would have been wind waker ofc but there's my idea anyway.

How can you possibly find OOT to be more seriously themed than ALTTP? After ALTTP’s prologue which is itself mysterious and foreboding, the game opens to Zelda calling out from the castle in legitimate danger and you sneak in during a raging storm to find your uncle dead, break her out, and then hear all about impending doom for the rest of the game. The entire thing almost has a tolkeinian fee to it. AND unlike OOT’s future, the dark world is actually ravaged and in ruins. OOT has you fuck around with a bunch of fairies all accompanied by upbeat, quirky music for 20 minutes, then you talk to a tree who dies (but comes back later). The only scene in OOT even remotely comparable to the tone of ALTTP is the final confrontation with Ganon.
