Those early personal computers before DOS and Windows became ubiquitous.

With consoles, even playing the Atari 2600 there is something interesting there and although primitive some of the games are still fun to play nowadays but compare with the likes of the VIC 20 or, god help you, ZX Spectrum if you are in the UK and there is just nothing good there, setting the thing at all is a huge pain in the ass and then you get games that feel like shitty mid 2000s flash games with zero soul.

Even the 16bit versions don't fare much better, especially when you compare them to contemporary consoles.

Every single Amiga, ZX Spectrum and C64 game is severely overrated and has aged poorly. British microcomputers have literally zero redeeming qualities.
