The game asks you if you want to overwrite your old file when it's the only place you can write it to.

Some really cool looking utilitarian sword has shit stats compared to the purple looking dragon dildo sword which you have to use. Same with armor or other equips.

The game gives no indication there are only so many continues or lives. You just die and find yourself now at the beginning of the game.

Your main weapon is a fist or something so small it's completely ineffective even if you master it. The only real weapons are pickups that are scarce and you must conserve. Conserve too much and you get killed, but use it all up and you're left with your unusable weapon.
