I played Street Fighter Alpha 3 on my PSP and I didn't have so much trouble. You're quite right about the other issues the PSP had, but even then, I love that console.

My brother had an Xperia Play. It was quite good playing SNES games on it, and the community built around it was pretty nice. Too bad those things often became unusable because of flex cable problems (which were repairable, but hard as fuck to repair) They ere good machines, but bottlenecked by the OS (Android 2.3, Sony never released the drivers or the code for hackers to make custom roms for other versions. There only was an Android 4.0 beta, that had touchpad issues...Android 4.4 would have been so good) and it's weak hardware for the time (1Ghz CPU and 512 MB RAM).
