Honestly I think there might be a region discrepancy here; any functioning NTSC xbox goes for ~90-120 after shipping, and anything bought locally or on craigslist you're 90% of the time gonna get something broke. Makes something like >>8980009 make sense; base price + HDD + Custom shell makes the actual labor in cleaning, constructing, de-capping and provisioning a TB's worth of files only cost some $50. An hour or two's labor at a decent job, and more than comparable with how long you'd spend grabbing crap from Vimm's lair or scouring through torrents.
