>How do you spend your retrogame money?

Wisely, Anon. As I always have. Like usual, I dump a lot into the troughing gen (currently gen 6) and I take advantage of the extreme interest in the hobby right now to fill out some obscure corners of my collection with stuff that's rare but not currently valuable - like I got a bunch of complete boxed Odyssey 2 games for $1.50 each at a retro game store. Another thing that I enjoy about the big-time interest is how there are a lot of adapters surfacing for good prices be they for using old controllers/displays on new hardware or vice versa. I love me some adapters and cables and shit. Loose controllers for systems that the shop doesn't have and loose consoles they don't have controllers, games, and/or cables for can still be a great deal as they're technically "untested" and often just taking up space as far as sellers are concerned.

Of course, most of these things I am able to enjoy as a lifelong collector with technical skills, an appreciable existing collection and good connections. I can test and repair hardware and trade for the high value things I might get the opportunity to acquire.

If you want to someday get where I am, focus on them $1-$4 PS2 and Gamecube games and play your SNES etc games on emulators or flash drives until those $1 games are worth enough to trade for the older stuff you want.

Damn that's pretty tempting I might think about selling my A500. Why aren't there MSXs like this?
