This. Rail shooters aren't exactly shmups, but they're in the same family of games. I just wish there were out there that could actually hold a candle to Space Harrier 1 and 2. It's like people started making them all in slow motion.

This shit gives me headaches. Shadow Warrior is way worse, though.

To be honest, I haven't played SH2 in a long long time. I remember loving it in the Genesis days and back then I thought it held up to the first one pretty well, but I was also a teenager.

I've been playing the 3DS 3D port of the first one again recently though and really loving it. It was getting me hyped to move onto 2, but now I'm a little leery.
