From IdSoft themselves I can at most imagine a Quake-flavored Doom sequel/DLC, a new Quake would be from a different developer.

It's the same style, just done newer and 'better' - and yeah, >>8257835 just beat me to it: It's very niche. You have to really like the exciting concept of dealing with autonomous drones on autonomous corporate mining worlds.
