That's just one issue, the datasheets sure have some errors and other inconsistencies in the schematics and diagrams.
I discovered a bug in the PAL alternate circuit which also exists in the CXA2075, if the end of the VSync is just a single low to high transition then no PAL decoder will show color (or it will flicker badly on old TVs).
Such a CSync signal (ch7) is generated by N64, I worked around it by combining (XOR) HSync and VSync into CSync as the VSync (ch6) is a little shorter.

You don't want to know how long it took me to figure this shit out.
