Bungie was pretty smart about it. Projects such as the one they were describing with Marathon 3 usually are doomed to failure since they're done solely for the sake of competition and Myth was absolutely great too. It's a shame that the whole Myth II launch fiasco made Bungie be bought out by Microsoft, ONI would've ended up being a more finished product if that shitstorm didn't happen and Halo would've most likely end up being a PC FPS instead of a console one.
