I miss the feel some RPGs of this time had, good or bad.

It's the DS version with Party Chat. I'm not sure if that makes it the definitive version because of Square's port quality, I can't play it until it comes out on Android. please tell me it has landscape this time.

My favorite is and probably always will be V. I love the storytelling aspect and it keeps me grinding. My least favorite is VII. I never finished it because I just don't have the will to get that far.

VIII is pretty sound, it embodies everything good about DQ in one package. Don't pick up mobile unless you must, they took out some content and by some bizarre notion it's portrait only.
