Are you the guy who made the Martian Gothic thread a few days ago? Your email sounds familiar.

Anyway, this game doesn't get mentioned a lot.

I've mentioned this in other threads, but Enemy Zero (PC/SAT) is a unique horror game with an interesting hook of invisi-kill enemies.

I believe it is very easy to emulate/pirate the PC version (I own the Saturn version), though you might have to fiddle around with compatibility.

Enemy Zero, released on the PC and Saturn, is a first-person survival horror game with the hook that enemies are invisible and kill you instantly if they make contact.

The gun you have (the only weapon) is very weak and susceptible to running out of battery, keeping you on your toes.

The game has its own set of quirks and flaws, but on the whole I found it to be an enjoyable experience. The PC version should be pretty easy to pirate.

I have beaten Enemy Zero, and I will post some thoughts for anyone interested:

First thing: the Michael Nyman soundtrack is excellent, and I'm downloading it right now. However, you'll mostly hear the same ambient droning music in the background the entire game, even over some of the cutscenes!

This is a game I had to constantly consult a FAQ to play. I don't know if that is due to my laziness, or rather, the extremely cryptic (or rather, nonexistent) way the game tells you to go from place to place. In the beginning it's very straight-forward, but everything from half of disc 2 - to the end is very frustrating.

I think this is compounded by the slow-moving FMVs, which make you dread leaving a place if you don't have to (just so you don't have to sit through the entrance animation, look-around-the-room animation, and so on). Hence more FAQ-consultation. I wanted to be drawn into the game's world (and I really like the game's world), but the game's mechanics constantly fought with me over immersion.

The actual first-person shooting segments were the best part. It was always a tense experience, and rewarding to kill an enemy.

However, death was scary not because of monsters, but because of having to sit through a long FMV of you dying, loading the title screen, loading your game file, AND listening to an unskippable audio log each time you selected your file. It was very tedious. The cutscenes are all unskippable, which is also a shame when you die after a major one and have to sit through a 2 minute cutscene all over again.

Level design petered out into unnavigable mazes by the end of the game, which sucked, since the hallways all look alike. Die here, and you often have to go through another 3 minute cutscene to try navigating a 5-floor complex of snaking hallways that all loop back on one another.

I have faith in you guys! Keep up the good work.
This thread seriously sparks my desire to play through D + Enemy Zero.
