Most of the time it literally is one guy.

1/3 of these are by Boris Vallejo.

He's amazing, but you know it was just another mass produced, thoughtless paycheck deal to him. I'd rather have art by someone who actually worked on the game.

That doesn't happen too many times with Japanese covers either, but it's still nice when it is the case.
