Nope, Saturn failed everywhere except for Japan.
NA: 1.83 mln
EU: 1.12
JP: 5.80

Compare that to N64:
NA: 20.11 mln
EU: 6.35
JP: 5.54

And actually, Master System numbers in EU seems kinda vague. I've seen them differ quite a lot from source to source. But the funny thing is, look at that official Nintendo sales report in the pic. NES truly took off in Europe only after 1991… The fuck.

Here's what I found:
Amiga—~4 mln
SMS—~6.8 mln (also lasted until 1996)

The situation with NES is more vague though. First, the most accurate data of shipments I found doesn't have separate data for Europe, it lumps it together with Australia and the rest of the world. Second, it's comes off quite surprising. Basically, NES really broke only in 1990–1993 in "other" regions.

Nevertheless, by the end of 1994 they had sold around 8.5 in the "other" regions. But I see it mentioned on Wikipedia that SMS beat NES in Europe. Also, here's some post I found:

> You only have to read the book Game Over, which is a pretty accurate book acknowledged by Hiroshi Yamauchi, Miyamoto, Howard Lincoln and many more from the Nintendo stable, where it states that by 1992, Nintendo only sold approx 3.5 million NESs in Europe.
You can also read in that same book that Nintendo always over exaggerated their sales figures, so in reality it is probably much less.

In any case, it's obvious Nintendo didn't dominate the competition in Europe like it did in US. It's a safe bet to say that NES lost to SMS there. Most sources from Wikipedia to other sites claim this.
