It will display just fine, just not nearly as sharp as the original image displayed from a PS1 or PS2. It's kind of impossible to capture the difference in a photo (It also doesn't help that this picture is really old and before I knew exactly what I was doing), but as I said, you may notice some flickering where there previously was none. Or, hell, you might not even notice it at all. It bugs my eyes out, though.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. Even worse is the collections that by all means should output in 240p but display in 480i instead such as Mega Man Anniversary Collection, Sonic Mega Collection, and all of the SNK ones.

Mega Man X Collection is the only one I can think of that properly outputs 240p.

As it stands, though, a PVM will still look much better in 480i than a standard trinitron set. It's going to look ugly regardless, but a PVM is going to make it look as good as it can.
