Widescreen for PS1 and DC are actually quite good, though I still prefer playing in original 4:3 most of the time. It's also good for streaming, but I definitely prefer 3:2 or 4:3 overall. I like playing Megadrive and Saturn with square pixels rather than squishing down to 4:3, which16:9 benefits from a bit, but 3:2 is better (virtually perfect) for that.
