Are dinosaurs monsters to you? That's what Genesis Jurassic Park is all about.

I don't think it's the most impressive, but the amount of scrolling in some of tbe stages of Rampage Edition is pretty amazing. I used to kill all the humans and then run back and forth enjoying the scenery.

I think they're both great, a couple of my favorite games on the system but are kinda different. First is slower paced second is more arcadey. I always play the raptor.

I love both Genesis JP games but have only ever beaten each with Grant once. To me it's a pure dinosaur game, humans are fodder.

I love both these games so much.

Not him but Rampage Edition is one of my most frequently replayed Genesis games and the first one almost as much. I always use the raptor though.

Also I'll recommend the Super Star Wars games which I think are legit great.

I love both the Genesis JP games. There used to be a guy on here who thought the first one is excellent and Rampage Edition sucks but I don't agree with that. I think both are a ton of fun, some great music too. I only played each once or twice as Grant, the raptor is the fun way imo.

They didn't do anything all that fancy, but the amount of scrolling in this level always amazed me back then. Running full tilt from one end to the other is awesome.

JP and Rampage Edition are the only ones I liked much but that's because you get to play clever girl and gut humans. They're pretty fun to boot though. RE is more actiony.

Princess Clever Girl for the win. Also the best trans character in retro gaming.

I've posted it before, but I found the savanna in JP Rampage edition breathtaking. The whole game looks pretty good, but the amount of scrolling in the background is really something.

I don't want to overhype it because that can deffinitely kill a game, but I think it's easily on par with CT or FFVI.

The Shining Force games are worth checking out as well. They're not amazing, but they're solid and fun.

Ohh and Jurassic Park

>Obviously lives, continues, scoring and hard game overs in their pure forms don't work for a lot of existing games and styles, for better or worse.

I agree with that, but although there are many game styles that don't work there are many that obviously do. Arcade style action games being a good example.

JP: Rampage Edition doesn't win huge points for design but some of what it does looks incredible. Check out all the scrolling in this level.
