That's the fault of the localizers giving it a retarded name though, it'd be a lot dumber to be inconsistent with localizing the title names and then people would complain about that instead. Plus they do also show the different names when introducing the game.

I mean Arino also clearly says "Dai Makaimura" and "Akumajou Densetsu" but it goes without saying they get translated as Ghouls 'n Ghosts and Castlevania, that's the same thing. Incidentally TV-Nihon's subs say Makaimura and Akumajou Dracula and it reads really awkwardly.
