What is a good controller or gamepad for Genesis emulation? I'm only collecting SNES and N64 stuff at the moment so Genesis collection will be somewhat far down the line. For right now I'll just be content with Emulation. Should I go for a original controller+plus adapter or are there any decent aftermarket USB pads?

Pic related: This one works great. Looking for something similar.

This thing is fuckin' beast. It was $14 and arrived in like a day and a half. It feels EXACTLY like an SNES controller. So glad I picked it up. If you're emulating SNES games I highly recommend it.

I use the Buffalo snes pad, works like a charm so far.

You can get them fairly cheap on Ebay.

Not sure about more complex pads though. Imo a PSX pad is probably the handiest all-rounder, but I just wanted a SNES pad.

I'd be interested to see how versatile a Megadrive pad would be too- those extra buttons could be interesting

This right here is the only great third party controller I've tried. Feels very faithful to the original. Even has rubber select/start buttons. D-pad is very responsive, no mushiness, and inputs are precise. So good I bought an extra to have as backup.
