I'd love for this to happen. Sadly, Sega doesn't seem to know what to do with the franchise. I haven't played 3DS Shinobi yet but it certainly doesn't look like a worthy follow up to the series, even if it's a decent game. And don't get me started on that shovelware GBA game...

Ah, don't get me wrong, I love both games music, I just prefer Yuzo Koshiro's composition over Masayuki Nagao, Hirofumi Murasaki and Morihiko Akiyama's work on III which is definitely more technical but I feel like Yuzo manages to do more with less.

This be a Ninja thread. I would not be adverse to a Samurai thread however since there are more such retro games out there than you or I probably realize, but lets keep this one on topic.

I realize pic related is cheating since it's a GBA games published four years after 1999, but it's a must play for any old school Ninja game fan. Shinobi meets Bionic Commando. Called Ninja Five-O in the states which is either a more awesome or horrible name depending on how you look at it.
