The Spectrum Version from a pure graphic perspective is at least (slightly) closer to original than the C64 Version. They didn't even bother changing the original built-in C64 specific charset to something more fitting.

The Spectrum Version is also quite an achievement too and looked very good in magazines (if you have a hard-on for the Spectrums monochrome graphics mode), but as soon as the game starts and the sprites moved it was apparent, that they could indeed do bigger sprites than the C64 (but the Speccy Version was only available for 128k Spectrums of course double the RAM gives better results), but the Spectrum also lacked in terms of power.
